343 Industries announced last week that it will be adding a remastered version of Halo 3: ODST’s campaign and additional content for Halo 2: Anniversary to Halo: The Master Cheif Collection as an apology for the issues that have damage the collection since launch.

“You’ve told us that you want more Halo 2: Anniversary multiplayer map content and Halo 3: ODST on Xbox One,” 343 head Bonnie Ross wrote. “As a future bonus, we’re going to make these happen and give them to you for free.  We are just now starting work with our partners to bring both toHalo: The Master Chief Collection and will share more specific details on timing in the coming months.”

Unfortunately, development for of the remastered version has just begun, Halo 3: ODST according to Ross, with plans to up the game to 1080p resolution, running at 60fps. It will be offered to people who played Halo: The Master Chief Collection between November 11th and December 19th, as well as this 343 is going to add a reimagined version of the fan-favorite map “Relic” to Halo 2: Anniversary multiplayer, which will again be available to people who have played the collection between the dates mentioned previously. As an added bonus, players will recieve a one month of Xbox Live Gold, an exclusive in-game Nameplate and Avatar for free.
