Semi-Breaking: The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Release Date Revealed!

by Jeremiah Cooper on February 7, 2012

Straight. Fucking. Badass.

Okay, so if you read yesterday’s feature about The Witcher history lesson journey-in-words, you’re probably well aware that I’m more or less clinically obsessed with the upcoming sequel port for the Xbox 360. I won’t get into it anymore because I obviously got into it for quite a few dozen paragraphs yesterday (feel free to click right here if you’ve yet to read it — it’s a good time!).

No, there are more exciting things and breaking news items to discuss. And so, we shall discuss them.

CD Projekt — the Polish game developer/publisher we all have to thank for the goodness that is The Witcherin video game form — held a super-duper-official (and very well organized (if I do say so myself!) press conference today in Poland. Having informed the world via their Facebook page yesterday, it managed to generate quite a bit of buzz — mainly because there were promises of new Witcher 2 360 port news, in-game videos, screenshots and… wait for it… wait for it… an official release date.

Fucking finally!

If you’re interested in seeing the press conference yourself, it’s basically a Power Point presentation sandwiched in between in-game video, the opening cinematic of the Xbox 360 version of the game and — of course! — the official release date that I’m about to spoil/inform you about below. Oh, and if you’d like to view it for yourself then simply click right here.

Never before have I been so excited to view a Power Point presentation. Or likely ever will.

In the interests of getting into the delicious caramel nugget-of-information you’re likely angrily scrolling down through this whole thing trying to discover, though, the official release date for the Xbox 360 port of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is…

<insert sound of theoretical drumroll here>
