League of Legends Spotlight Video: Diana, Scorn of the Moon

The newest League of Legends champion, Diana, Scorn of the Moon, has just been detailed in her own spotlight video.

Diana wields a lasso of truth allowing her to… wait let me try again.

Diana wields an interesting crescent-shaped blade remarkably similar to a sickle. She is an ability based fighter, assassin and jungler.  Her abilities are:

Moonsilver Blade (passive): Increased attack speed and extra area damage every third strike.

Crescent Strike: Ranged attack with a curved trajectory and applies moonlight, which causes extra damage.

Pale Cascade: Diana conjures a shield to absorb damage and three spheres which explode on contact with enemies. If all three spheres explode, the shield is refreshed.

Moonfall: Pulls in and slows all surrounding enemies.

Lunar Rush: Teleport to target enemy and causes damage, if cast on a target with moonlight the cooldown is refreshed.

The video below goes into more detail as to the best strategies and items to use with the newest League of Legends champion.

Diana seems custom-built to tackle fleeing enemies. Her Lunar Rush ability can be used multiple times to quickly deal massive damage to groups or to retreating champions. Coupled with Moonfall, Diana could most likely work well with other champions to keep her opponents completely under her control.

She also seems very well-built to jungle. I’ve never played a jungler before, but I think I’d give it a go with Diana. Most of her abilities strike multiple opponents at once, and with the right timing her shield could withstand an entire fight.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I think Diana looks like a very fun champion to play. I have always found fleeing opponents annoying and would love to destroy them with Diana’s unique moveset.

Diana, Scorn of the Moon has been released today for 975 Riot Points or 6300 Influence Points.
